We've moved...because we've grown! Two new employees have joined the Terrostar team,
Tony Nagy and
Betsy Wasser. So, we ran out of space. Our new offices are located in the Wells Fargo building in downtown Davenport. You'll find us at 220 N. Main St., Suite 410; Davenport, IA 52801. (Phone, fax, and email addresses haven't changed.)
Maintaining your own website is easy with Terrostar's Content Management System (CMS). Our web-based CMS allows you to add/edit/remove text or images on your website from any computer with Internet access. There's no need to learn html or complex coding. If you can shop online, you can use it.
Drop us a line if you'd like more info.
Writing content for your website is a tough job. Often, it's the reason why web development projects can take so darn long. Here are a few tips we often give to our clients.
Talk to your core audience. No matter how hard you try, you'll never reach EVERY visitor to your website. Know your customers and talk to them.
Keep your text simple. Whenever possible, stay away from overly technical jargon or "big" words that not everyone will grasp. Think simple, concise, and easy-to-understand.
Reading online is hard. Your screen resolution isn't as sharp as a printed piece. So, long blocks of text will most likely get skipped. Bulleted lists, subheads, and callouts will make your text "scannable."
Exclamation marks don't make your content more effective! They don't make you seem more passionate about your work! It's just annoying! Use them sparingly and remember...there's never a reason to use double or triple exclamation marks (ever)!!!
The resources for online copywriting are vast. If you're looking for guidance, check out

If this all still seems too daunting, it just so happens that website content development is a service that we offer (for a price, of course, but many of our clients have found it well worth it). Visit our
website to find out more.
